Parallel Toolkit for the Organization and Retrieval of Digital Audio Data

The need for automated systems to organize image,
video, and audio data based on content continues to
grow. The Parallel Framework for Audio Similarity
Clustering (PFASC) is intended to provide a more
thorough and meaningful automated analysis
than previously possible for the classification,
organization, and retrieval of digital audio files.
PFASC is the first application of its kind to extract
frequency sequence data from audio files for
similarity comparison, relying both on message
passing and threading to utilize a large number of
processors in order to process files and perform
comparisons quickly.
